Although it’s a well known fact that that the number of cheating husbands exceeds that of unfaithful wives, it looks like lately women are doing their best to catch up. According to to the book 188 Days And Nights. (Widawnictmo, 2008) by Polish writer Janusz Wisniewski, about 55% of married women are secretly craving “another man”, while 40% already have that man in their lives.

Women are known for looking for stability and commitment in relationships, but apparently after they find all that something goes wrong. Here are some possible explanations.

The Desire to be Desired

The very desire expressed by a male makes many women feel very fulfilled sexually. Women want men to want them desperately and often the very fact that she is desired is way more important for a woman than the fulfillment of that desire. Women crave romantic meals, flowers, passionate kisses and all the other components of a love ritual. Most husbands are not able to provide all that for their wives. Living together, doing chores, raising children and sharing bank accounts usually ruin the desire very effectively.
